Formula Student Overview
Formula Student is an international university competition where teams design, build, and race a formula-style single-seater car. It evaluates engineering skills, innovation, project management, and teamwork through both static events (design, cost, business plan) and dynamic events (acceleration, skidpad, autocross, and endurance). My participation followed Formula Student Germany regulations, recognised as the most demanding competition worldwide.
1st Year — Junior Electronics Engineer (full-time)

During the first year, I familiarised myself with the car's systems and performed foundational tasks. I worked hands-on with firmware in C for two critical ECUs: the Power Distribution Unit and the Front ECU responsible for sensor integration, including digital filtering using the DSP capabilities of the STM32F4 series and real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS).
I also implemented the backup charger code, which was ultimately used due to an issue with the main charger in the German Competition. I participated in the validation of the newly introduced Power Distribution Unit and proposed improvements. I was responsible for documentation for the Electrical and Accumulator inspections and learned stencil soldering techniques in preparation for the next season.

Achievements
1st Year Competitions
Austria
- Best result ever achieved in FSA for the team
Spain
- 🏆 DV Winners
- Trackdrive winners
- Autonomous Autocross winners
- Design winners
- Completed endurance (did not pass Post Inspection)

2nd Year — Electronics Engineer (full-time)

I was responsible for the complete design of the new Power Distribution Unit, from initial concept and schematics to validation and integration into the vehicle. I managed the firmware of all ECUs except the BMS and the Dashboard, and oversaw the electronics of the autonomous safety system.
I carried out my Final Degree Thesis, focused on a full-system review of the car's electronic architecture, proposing improvements across all subsystems and presenting new hardware developments such as the redesigned BSPD.
